ZKM and Gevulot showcase the benefits of zkVM modular integrations
If you are thinking about building on Gevulot, register a key to get access to Devnet for free proof generation and verification.
It’s our pleasure to announce another integration partner in our pipeline, ZKM. Their general purpose zkVM will allow for seamless multi-chain verification across previously disparate blockchain ecosystems. This opens up tremendous possibilities for both blockchain and non-blockchain applications to harness the many potential benefits of zero-knowledge proof technology. The immediate benefits are clear when integrating the ZKM stack with Gevulot’s decentralized prover layer, which frees businesses from running their own infrastructure and provides them tremendous cost savings to standard prover infrastructure.
With the launch of ZKM’s alpha testnet, they will have the ability to handle programs written in multiple high-level languages such as Golang, which are compiled into a MIPS executable. This executable is then loaded into the MIPS VM, and the zkVM generates an execution trace for the prover to create a ZK proof. For ZKM clients, the implementation enables blockchain nodes to verify the execution of a program by generating a ZKP with Gevulot to prove the validity of the execution.
By deploying provers to Gevulot’s ZK cloud infrastructure under the hood, the reach of the ZKM ecosystem can be championed by RaaS (Rollups as a Service) solutions as a more cohesive package allowing businesses to launch with cost reductions of up to 75% compared with traditional cloud providers such as AWS (Amazon Web Services). Keep a lookout for ZKM’s prover to be deployed to Gevulot’s Devnet, live as of March 25th, for use by all RaaS players and any future rollups themselves.
Our collaboration signifies a shared vision for a future where application developers can launch rollups that are simple, cheap, and inclusive to the varying elements within the modular stack. As a single product, we aim to bring transparent, verifiable, and trustless systems for global-scale coordination. With both of our testnets live, we call for all businesses interested in adopting permissionless, easily programmable, and cost-efficient tooling to test it out for themselves.
“We are thrilled with this collaboration with Gevulot,” says Kevin Liu, Founder and CEO of ZKM. "With their ZK cloud infrastructure, Gevulot will be able to run ZKM's proof generation system and provide seamless developer access without needing developers to run node hardware themselves."
